The small and simple preamp offers two controls: volume and shape. A natural acoustic sound is found in the center position on the shape knob and allows players to easily adjust from low, fat and powerful tones to a bright and crisp sound while using only one control. A new, easy-to-read onboard tuner with LCD (liquid crystal display) is located on the preamp.

The Macassar Ebony bridge transfers string vibration directly to the body, delivering a natural and warm tone.
