The Hot Rodded Rails Set combines Seymour’s classic JB and Jazz humbuckers with modern rail design, offering powerful low-end, strong highs, shimmering treble, and solid bass with enhanced string-to-string balance, clarity, and sustain, perfect for high-gain applications.
This exciting variation on Seymour’s classic humbucker combination from the 1970’s honors our long tradition of tonal excellence, while adding the modern tone, feel, and look of rails.
The JB Rails offers the modern player a unique combination – bringing together the Seymour Duncan JB Model with rail design. This configuration retains the classic character of our JB Model with its powerful low-end, strong highs, and upper-midrange bump which has made it the go-to lead pickup for countless luminaries.
Our Jazz Rails neck pickup is a variation on our historically popular Jazz Model, well known for shimmering treble response and solid, well-defined bass even in the most overdriven situations.
Rail design evenly distributes the magnetic field across the strings, enhancing string-to-string balance with increased clarity and sustain. The result is perfect for modern high-gain applications, and it looks as hot as it sounds.
Hand built in our Santa Barbara, CA factory, these humbucker pickups use Alnico 8 bar magnets, 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options, and are vacuum wax potted for squeal-free performance. The set is available in both 6 and 7 string versions
