With Electric Bass for HALion you can easily hand pick exactly the right bass sound that you need for your song. From soulful ’70s jams, through classic jazz vibes, to that big bass sound that can cut through every mix, you can combine your chosen sound with the included bass amp, lots of effects and different playing styles.

Pure or amped? Or a mixture of both?
Bring in effects and the amp... or work with the pure tone of the bass. With this control, you have full control of the Electric Bass mix between amp and effects or the original samples.

Pick your pickup
Choose the type of pickup to create your favorite style of bass. Using different pickup configurations, you can create the sound of nearly every classic electric bass guitar, from the J-bass to P-bass and even the MM-bass. The filter characteristics of the modeled passive tone control circuit also interact with the selected pickup configuration to make the sound even more authentic.

Slap. Pull. Slide... and a lot more.
Switch fluently while playing between slap/pull, slide, push, pull, artificial harmonics, natural harmonics, sustain, sustain with pick or the classic sound of muted bass. Every key switch is pre-mapped from C0 up to G0 on your keyboard. Ghost notes for lower velocities can also be separately activated for the key switches.

Choose the style of your bassist
Enjoy a much more authentic feeling when you are playing the bass with your keyboard or pad controller! You can choose between 12 different bass player styles. Each player has its own logic for which string and on which fret position the next note is played on.

Your effects chain
Send your bass signal through a completely customizable effect chain of 12 stompboxes, six amps and four different cabinets. The effects chain can be easily rearranged using drag-and-drop, and decide which effects are used pre- and post-amplifier.

Everything at a glance
The fretboard not only visualizes the hand position of the bassist and which notes are played, it also shares information on how the note is played. This means you get a quick overview if the note is slapped, legato, pulled or muted.

• 12 Stompbox Effects
  Get some new gear for your bass. With the 12 stompbox effects, starting with classics like Chorus, Flanger, and Phaser, moving on to Wah Wah, Tape Ducking Delay, Octaver and Overdrive, there is almost nothing left to wish for.

• Six legendary bass amps
  The bass amps are inspired by legends from different decades. Starting with a classic vintage amplifier from the 1950s, through a rock-inspired, driven amp from the '70s and a funky '80s one, to a clean amplifier from the '90s, plus dark, growling and modern universal examples.

• Four classic cabinets
  Go deep with your bass, with four simulated, classic cabinets used by almost every bass player. They range from a clean and punch 4x10" to an awe-inspiring 8x10", a mellow and very rich-sounding 4x12" and a 1x15" which is ideal for rock and vintage styles.
