Among Taylor's best-selling models, the 314ce offers a quintessentially Taylor experience—all-solid tonewoods and an accommodating feel—bolstered by a trio of next-generation innovations designed to enhance tone, playability and plugged-in performance. These include a new variant of our V-Class® voicing architecture, a revolutionary neck joint design and a new proprietary pickup/preamp combo that tames the harshness of traditional piezos.
This versatile model boasts solid sapele back and sides paired with a Sitka spruce top in a gloss-finish Grand Auditorium body. The result is a punchy, shimmering midrange with vibrant trebles balanced by a warm, woody low end. Its tonal depth is enhanced by new scalloped V-Class bracing, which also increases volume, sustain and pitch accuracy. A slender, long-tenon Action Control Neck™ delivers signature Taylor playability and boosts low-end resonance. The groundbreaking design enables players to make easy, on-the-fly string height adjustments.
With a visual style to match its workhorse personality, this model features new Weathervane inlays in Italian acrylic, a firestripe pickguard, nickel tuners and black binding with black and white purfling. Whether you’re performing in the corner of a café or on a festival stage, onboard Claria System electronics make it easy to dial in your preferred amplified tone with soundhole-mounted controls.
