Sound Changes Everything
One concert. One event. One bass drop. Often, the trajectory of your band, your brand, your business, or your career can be distilled down to a single, pivotal moment that changes everything. When that moment arrives you need to know that your audience is experiencing the full range of your expression and the sheer passion of your performance. The DXR mk3 Series continues the legacy of power and premium sound established by one of Yamaha’s most celebrated loudspeaker lineups, delivering higher output, outstanding flexibility, and the level of reliability that professionals the world over depend on for their most important performances. From the painstaking selection of premium component materials, to the development of intelligent, high-performance DSP features, every aspect of the DXR mk3’s design empowers users with the capability and confidence they need for those crucial moments when your sound makes all the difference in the world.

  • Yamaha Proprietary High-Durability LF/HF Speaker Units
All DXR/CXR mk3 loudspeakers are equipped with Yamaha’s own high-durability, custom LF/HF speaker units. The LF unit ensures highly symmetrical front-rear movement for linear bass reproduction, while the HF unit features a polyimide diaphragm that eliminates audible distortion while providing exceptional durability—thus achieving both superior acoustic performance and outstanding reliability.

  • Enhanced High-Frequency Directivity and Optimized Low-Frequency Response
The large-diameter horn secures directivity control across a wide frequency range. Optimized port positioning also reduces standing wave effects, resulting in smoother and more accurate low-frequency response.

  • Lightweight, High-Performance Molded Enclosure
Utilizing a lightweight, high-strength, form-injection molded enclosure, the design achieves both weight reduction and attenuation of cabinet resonance that can result in bass loss. The ergonomically designed enclosure offers not only aesthetic appeal but also outstanding usability.

  • Highly Visible, User-Friendly LCD Panel & Encoder
An LCD panel is mounted on the rear, allowing for fast and easy control of parameters such as preset loading, precise PEQ adjustments, delay, and routing. Up to eight user presets can be stored, and factory presets optimized for combined use with the DXS mk3 series can also be recalled.

  • Advanced DSP for Sophisticated Signal Processing
Featuring a 96 kHz internal DSP processor, the DXR mk3 series delivers high output performance and high-resolution sound quality with low latency. The crossover network employs Yamaha’s proprietary “Advanced FIR-X Tuning” technology, combining linear-phase FIR filters for network and correction EQ, achieving exceptionally smooth phase characteristics and clear, distortion-free sound.

  • 2000 W Class-D High-Power Amplifier
DXR mk3 Series loudspeakers are equipped with a highly efficient 2000 W Class-D high-power amplifier, as well as a newly designed high-efficiency switching power supply that ensures smooth and stable operation.

DSP Mode with AUTO V/H POSITION Function
The DXR mk3 offers DSP modes tailored for specific configurations or applications: FOH/MAIN and MONITOR. FOH/MAIN boosts high and low frequencies for main speaker use, and is the default setting. MONITOR ensures clarity for floor monitor use, suppressing excessive bass that can occur when placed on the floor. An internal accelerometer detects speaker orientation, enabling automatic mode setting (can be disabled), streamlining setup and reducing workload on site.

The DXR mk3 series also features optimized presets for a range of applications―such as DJ performance, live band sound, and speech―developed in collaboration with Yamaha by the team at our group company NEXO, who possess deep expertise in loudspeaker design and technology.

Intelligent Feedback Suppressor
Equipped with a powerful, intelligent feedback suppressor, the system automatically suppresses feedback in real time for handheld microphones (DYNAMIC mode) and detects and sets feedback-prone points for fixed microphones (FIXED mode). These modes can be used independently or in combination to dramatically reduce unpleasant feedback caused by sound looping from speaker to microphone.

“D-Remote” Control App
“D-Remote” is a dedicated application for remote control of your DXR/DXS mk3 via iOS and Android devices over Bluetooth. It enables control of all parameters, including level, delay, EQ, crossover, FBS, ducker, identification, panel lock, and scene save/recall. Additionally, it monitors speaker limiting and temperature and displays error alerts. Up to ten devices can be connected simultaneously, with grouping available for unified level and mute control.

Drive Motion Calibration
The "Drive Motion Calibration" featured in the DXR mk3 series utilizes a proprietary DSP algorithm to correct speaker movement, delivering low-distortion, high-quality sound in the LF range that surpasses conventional limitations. This technology ensures that the speaker's behavior accurately follows the input signal, enabling more linear low-frequency reproduction. As a result, it achieves outstanding reliability and acoustic performance, making it a reliable choice for a range of professional environments.

Usability Pursued to the Utmost

  • Symmetrical design
The design supports mirror placement for all models when floor-mounted, allowing symmetrical HF positioning for precise stage monitoring.

  • Dual-Angle Pole Socket
All DXR/CXR mk3 series models features pole mount sockets with both horizontal (0°) and 7° down-angle positions, enabling focused coverage for clearer sound delivery to the audience.

  • Rubber-Coated Handles
Handles are fitted with rubber surfaces for improved grip and reduced heat impact, greatly enhancing comfort during transport and setup.

  • Optional U-Bracket
Optional U-brackets are available for fixed installations, supporting both vertical and horizontal mounting. Compatible with K&M wall/ceiling brackets for flexible installation.

  • Multi-Function Speaker Covers
Optional speaker covers are available for all models, protecting speakers from scratches, dust, and dirt during transport and storage, as well as from unexpected weather during outdoor performances.

  • Eyebolt Rigging Points
Rigging points compatible with commercial eyebolts are provided, allowing flexible installation with wires and shackles.
