Unlike later iterations of the Stratocaster, this 1954 model features the period-correct round disc-style string tree, special pickup covers with softer top-corner radius, “football” shaped switch-tip, “tallboy” knobs with slim skirts and small numbering, and the backplate with circular string-holes.
