Maple / Mahogany Hybrid Wood Shells
The warmth of mahogany is undeniable. Used in drum making for decades, it provides a dark, mellow tonality that is an excellent choice for a range of musical settings. Available in maple or cherry with an inner and outer ply of select African mahogany, each offers up studio-friendly resonance and musicality.

FEATURES

• Collector’s Series® turret lugs offer an iconic design, while holding tuning and distributing tension to prevent warping. 

• True-Pitch® tuning features 5mm threads rather than the standard 12/24. There’s a thread every 0.8mm on DW True-Pitch® rods or about 20% more threads, versus a thread every 1.05mm on standard rods. The result is a more exact tuning process. Collector's Series kits feature True-Pitch® TP50 stainless steel tuning rods.

• True Hoops® offer a fully rounded top edge to reduce stick ‘chop’ and enhance articulation, while a rounded outer edge maximizes shell contact for truer tuning and tone.

• DW’s patented STM™ system allows shells maximum resonance while securing your toms in place. No washers or grommets contact the lug rod receivers, so choking is reduced, and tuning is as easy as ever.

• Fine Tune Floor Tom Legs allow you to adjust the resonance of any DW floor tom by adjusting the knurled knob. Available in steel 21" and 25" legs and light aluminum 21" and 27" legs, which are available in the same colors as DW lugs.
