The WA-47jr series is a contemporary version of the legendary 47-style studio microphone that delivers rich analog tone with modern circuitry. Each features a vintage-correct reproduction of the lauded K47-style capsule, the same capsule in the flagship WA-47 tube mic. The WA-47jr series is built around the same vintage-accurate K47-style capsule in our flagship WA-47 mic. The WA-47jr offers additional controls and multiple polar patterns, while the WA-47jr SE delivers a streamlined cardioid-only design of this classic tone.

The WA-47jr series uses a true reproduction of the K47-style capsule in the original 47 tube mic - the same capsule used in our award-winning flagship WA-47 tube mic. Perfect for adding instant vintage-vibe to any recording.

WA-47jr features three polar patterns (cardioid, omni, and figure-8) give you a variety of options to choose how you want to capture stereo sounds and reject noise.

WA-47jr features a selectable -10dB pad that allows the WA-47jr to handle SPLs up to 157dB, making capturing loud sources easy.

WA-47jr features a switchable 70 Hz high pass filter making it easy to remove unruly bass noise from sources before you even hit record.

K47-Style Capsule
The custom K47-style capsule in the WA-47jr & WA-47jr SE is a true reproduction of the large, dual-diaphragm K47-style capsule and the same capsule in the award-winning WA-47 tube microphone. This capsule captures authentic analog detail across the 20Hz-20kHz frequency spectrum. With the warmth of the capsule combined with extra top-end information from the contemporary circuit design, the WA-47jr will be right at home on many sources.

10 dB Pad
A selectable -10dB pad allows the WA-47jr to handle SPLs up to 157dB, making capturing loud sources easy.

70 Hz High Pass Filter
Engaging the 70 Hz high pass filter helps remove unwanted bass rumble and noise at the source instead of playing with potentially tone-destructive EQ during the mixing process.

Premium, Discrete Analog Circutry
The WA-47jr & WA-47jr SE use premium Toshiba transistors and WIMA film capacitors for professional, discrete analog signal integrity.

The WA-47jr is built with Panasonic electrolytic capacitors that provide enhanced signal conversion, allowing the mic to get extra vintage vibe out of the K47-stye capsule for warmer, vintage-accurate tones.
