Iron Label
The Iron Label line was originally developed with metal and nothing but metal in mind. Ibanez modded and tweaked until they got to the heaviest-hitting metal axes we’ve ever built. They’re purposefully spartan, and you won’t find a feature here that doesn't contribute directly to a bone rattling, earth shattering tones these guitars pump out. Carrying forward that same philosophy, the next generation of Iron Label guitars take this raw metal energy to a completely new level. They sport totally blacked out looks, and their supercharged electronics amounting to some of the heaviest-swinging metal axes Ibanez ever produced.

The Roasted Maple neck is heat-treated to increase stability, durability, moisture resistance and tolerance of temperature changes.

Jumbo Stainless Steel frets
Stainless steel frets boast excellent corrosion resistance. The wide and tall fret-type offers a quick response and effortless articulation when playing chords and clear tone when playing single notes.

The American Basswood body delivers a natural and flat tone.

DiMarzio® Fusion Edge pickups
Through close collaboration between Ibanez and DiMarzio®, Fusion Edge pickups have been engineered to produce a powerful, distinctive tone with a crisp, cutting high end, and a tight, compressed bottom end, minus any muddy mid-range.

The Gotoh® MG-T locking machine heads achieve incredible tuning stability, cutting down string-changing time.

F106 bridge
The F106 bridge enriches sustain. String height adjustment can be done easily and independently.

dyna-MIX10 switching system with Alter Switch
The dyna-MIX 10 offers ten sound variations and can easily switch from humbucker and single coil modes with the mini switch. The power Tap mode provides a realistic single coil sound despite its two humbucker pickup layout.

Super All Access Neck Joint
The Super All Access Neck Joint increases playability and allows for easy access to the higher frets.

Ergonomic rear body contour
A shallow body back contour and a big forearm contour make the guitar body fit the player naturally, thus increasing playing comfort. The AZ body has a deep waist and different radii on each body edge curve, making it easier to play in both standing or sitting positions.
