12"-16" Compound Radius Ebony Fingerboard
Jackson pioneered the use of the innovative 12"-16" compound radius design, in which the fingerboard gradually flattens toward the heel from its more rounded profile at the nut. This makes for comfortable and natural-feeling chording and riffing near the nut, with optimal shred articulation and bending nearer the heel.

Marking an unusual HS pickup configuration routing for Jackson, the incredibly popular JB bridge pickup brings big, heavy sound, sustain and rich harmonics and is matched with a single-coil sized Hot Rails neck pickup. This neck pickup delivers big-sounding, well balanced humbucker tones for rock and metal, and adds fat and warm clean tones for those thick, fluid solos.
